Pot Rush is a dual-purpose mobile app that pairs a personal item lending and borrowing tracker with a St. Patrick's Day themed slot game. It's aimed at anyone who regularly lends things to friends or colleagues and wants a simple, reliable way to stay on top of what's out and what's been returned. The tracker side sits inside a warm Irish-countryside visual world — think leprechaun cottages, four-leaf clovers, and golden light — while the slot game brings that same fantasy aesthetic to life with spinning reels and animated characters. Both halves of the app share the same bright green, golden yellow, and cream color palette throughout.

Screens & Visuals

What's Inside

Pot Rush is built around a straightforward problem: borrowed items get forgotten. The lending tracker lets you log any item with a name, the person involved, a date, and additional notes, then separates everything into "Lent" and "Borrowed" categories with a third "All" tab for a combined view. A search bar — labeled "Search by item or person" — sits at the top of the main list, and a green floating action button in the bottom-right corner opens the New Entry form. Each entry displays a circular initial avatar in light green, the item name in bold, the transaction description in smaller gray text, and a date badge with a warm brown background.

Logging Items and Tracking History

Adding a new record takes a few taps. The New Entry form includes a photo upload area with separate Gallery and Camera buttons, an item name field, a toggle between "I lent" and "I borrowed," and a recipient field. The Save button remains grayed out until the required fields are filled. Completed transactions move to a separate History screen, where each card carries a "Returned" status badge in a peach-orange color. The Settings screen offers three appearance options — System default, Light, and Dark — with Light selected by default, plus a link to the Privacy Policy under an About section.

Where the Slot Game Fits In

The slot game shares the same lush Irish visual language as the tracker's illustrated scenes. Both feature the same golden pot overflowing with shamrock-embossed coins — the very image the app's name evokes — alongside purple and red fantasy toadstools, scattered four-leaf clovers, and warm golden light effects. The slot machine itself is a 3×3 grid of ornate golden-framed reels carrying symbols like the pot of gold, letter A, the number 10, and shamrocks with x4 and x10 multipliers rendered in orange text. A cheerful leprechaun character with orange curly hair and a green top hat appears across multiple screens, tipping his hat in a welcoming gesture. Win states trigger a wooden "MEGA WIN" banner at the bottom of the reel grid.

A Few Rough Edges

The app's visual identity is cohesive and charming, but several functional gaps are hard to ignore. Navigation relies heavily on icon-only buttons that carry no text labels, form fields use placeholder text in place of persistent labels, and the slot game's multiplier values — orange text on green shamrock backgrounds — present a contrast ratio that falls short of comfortable readability. The animated light effects throughout the slot game may also be a concern for photosensitive users.
  • Icon-only back arrows and header controls throughout the tracker screens
  • Orange-on-green multiplier text (x4, x10) in the slot reels lacks sufficient contrast
  • Placeholder text functions as the sole field label in the New Entry form
  • Slot game light effects and sparkle animations carry no photosensitivity controls

How Pot Rush Works

How do I add a new item I've lent or borrowed?
Tap the green plus button on the My Items screen to open the New Entry form. Enter the item name, choose whether you lent or borrowed it, fill in the recipient's name, and optionally attach a photo from your camera or gallery before tapping Save.
Can I search for a specific item or person?
Yes. The My Items screen includes a search bar at the top where you can type either an item name or a person's name to quickly find the entry you're looking for.
How do I separate items I've lent from items I've borrowed?
Use the filter tabs just below the search bar on the My Items screen. You can switch between All, Lent, and Borrowed to view only the relevant category of transactions.
Where can I see items that have already been returned?
Completed transactions are stored in the History screen. Each entry there displays a Returned status badge along with the item name, the person involved, and the original date.
Can I change the app's visual theme?
Yes. In the Settings screen under the Appearance section, you can choose between System default (follows your device setting), Light, or Dark theme.
