At its core, Egg Runner gives you a cartoonish white chicken with a red comb, an orange beak, and one job: keep jumping upward across a vertical field of platforms while coins and golden eggs glitter in your path. The touch controls are split simply — tap anywhere to jump, tap mid-air for a second boost, and use the left or right half of the screen to steer. There's no tutorial gate to sit through; the game's own "How to Play" screen lays everything out in plain text before you start.

Platforms, Power-Ups, and Hazards

Not every platform behaves the same. Normal ones hold steady, but breaking platforms crumble after a single landing, moving platforms slide side to side, and boost platforms fire you skyward with a bright white beam of light. Coins scattered across platforms add +1 each, while the rarer golden eggs are worth +10. Chain collections quickly and a combo multiplier kicks in — screenshots show it climbing as high as 5.4×. Four power-ups add more texture: a Shield absorbs one hazard hit, a Magnet draws nearby coins and eggs toward you for 9 seconds, a Rocket launches you upward for 4 seconds, and a Score Boost doubles your point gain for 12 seconds. Standing against you are fireballs flying across the screen and lightning bolts that flash a warning before striking — both demand quick lateral movement to avoid.

The Fire That Keeps Climbing

Visually, Egg Runner commits fully to its volcanic fire theme — swirling reds, oranges, and yellows fill the background with a lava-like energy, while the golden coins and glowing eggs pop sharply against the heat. Milestone messages like "250 m — ON FIRE!" appear stamped right onto platforms as you ascend, which suits the atmosphere perfectly. It's the same restless, upward-pulling tension you get from any game built around a single vertical axis: the higher you climb, the more the screen seems to burn beneath you.

Where It Has Room to Grow

• Color accessibility: The heavy red/orange/yellow palette may create real difficulty for color-blind players, particularly when distinguishing platform types at speed.
• Flashing effects: Intense glowing and light-beam animations throughout the game have no apparent option to reduce or disable them.
• Input alternatives: No alternative control schemes or difficulty settings are visible — the game relies entirely on precise tap timing and coordination.

Egg Runner doesn't try to be more than it is — a clean, compulsive one-more-try platformer with a leaderboard to chase and enough mechanical variety to keep each run feeling slightly different from the last.
