Doggy House X is a pet care companion built for owners who want one place to hold everything that matters about their animals. It keeps profiles, routines, health records, and a personal journal together on the device — no accounts required and no cloud sync. The app is designed around warmth and simplicity, wrapped in a colorful cartoon aesthetic that makes daily pet management feel less like a chore. Whether you have a single cat named Bob or a whole household of animals, the structure scales to fit.

Screens & Design

What's Inside

Doggy House X organizes pet ownership around four pillars visible in every profile: Story, Tasks, Health, and Charts. Each pet gets its own page with a photo, name, species, breed, gender, birthday, and weight — a complete identity card that lives entirely on-device. The onboarding screen makes the privacy stance explicit: "Journal, photos, tasks, and health records, all on-device. No accounts, no cloud." That is a meaningful commitment for anyone who prefers to keep personal data off external servers.

Daily Routines and the Story Tab

The Tasks system supports four category types — Feeding, Walk, Grooming, and Medical — each with its own icon and color state. Repeat options cover Once, Daily, and Weekly, and tasks include a time field down to the minute. A dedicated Today view aggregates everything due across all pets into a single dashboard, illustrated by a friendly golden retriever and a clear empty-state message when nothing is scheduled. The Story tab functions as a journal: entries accept free text under a "What happened?" prompt, an optional mood tag (Happy, Playful, Calm, or Cuddly), an optional location field, and attached photos.

What Works and What Needs Work

  • Navigation is consistent across every screen — the same header pattern, tab bar, and bottom navigation appear throughout.
  • Form fields are clearly labeled with descriptive text, and optional fields are explicitly marked as such.
  • The timeline in the Story tab logs entries with timestamps and icons, making it easy to scan a pet's recent history at a glance.
  • The gaming interface — a slot machine section with spinning reels, win screens reading "AMAZING!", and multiplier indicators — relies almost entirely on visual elements. Critical game information is conveyed through color and spatial positioning, with no visible text alternatives for screen readers.
The pet management side of Doggy House X is genuinely tidy and well thought out. The slot machine layer, however, sits in a different design universe — loud, visually dense, and currently underserved for accessibility.

The Slot Machine Side

The gaming section features an ornate dog house structure with a red peaked roof, golden bone ornaments, and cartoon characters including a corgi, a French bulldog in a green plaid cap, a macaw parrot, and an orange tabby cat. Stacks of gold coins flank the reels, and win screens display multipliers like 5X and 9 in bold yellow text against the house fronts. The visual language here — bright blue skies, sparkle effects, warm reds and golds — shares the same cheerful warmth as the pet care interface, even if the mechanics are entirely different. The loading screen sets the tone with a pastoral cobblestone village, a white picket fence, and a giant golden bone floating above the scene.

What task types are available and how can they be scheduled?
