Fish Encyclopedia & Spot Map

The fish encyclopaedia covers species characteristics and behaviour, with entries that include maximum weight, length, habitat type, and difficulty level. The walleye entry, for example, details the fish's reflective tapetum lucidum, its daily depth movements, and its status as the most popular freshwater sport fish in Canada and the northern United States — the kind of field intelligence that actually changes how you approach a session. The Spot Map lets you place named pins on your favourite locations, attach notes, and build a personal library of productive water over time.

The Tools section is the strongest part of the app; the Hook Size Guide in particular is unusually thorough, pairing each size with real measurements and species recommendations rather than vague generalisations. The horizontal scroll layout, however, may frustrate users with motor impairments, and the map interface relies entirely on visual spatial understanding with no text-based alternative for pin locations.
