honestly i've been using BOS DRIVER for a couple weeks now as a side hustle thing and it's a pretty decent app for what it does — you go online, orders come in from the BOSJEK customer side, and you just work through them. the order list screen is clean enough, you can see the pickup and drop-off addresses without squinting too hard, and the payment summary for each trip is right there in the detail view which i appreciate. tbh the map is where things get a little shaky for me, sometimes it loads slow and i've had moments where the offline banner just pops up out of nowhere even when my connection is totally fine. the profile and settings menu is actually pretty organized — earnings, wallet, payment account, all in one place which is nice. i just wish the status dots on the order list had some kind of label because right now it's just colors and if you're not paying attention you kind of have to guess. overall it gets the job done and the layout is simple enough that i figured it out without reading any instructions, but there's definitely room to polish it up :)

Offline banner bug confirmed. Samsung Galaxy A54, Android 13. Full signal, banner shows anyway. Happens after screen lock. Reproducible every time.

The offline bug is frustrating — especially if you're mid-route and suddenly can't tell whether the app is actually disconnected or just confused about its own state. That's the kind of thing that could cost you an order, which for a driver app is kind of a big deal. I've been running it on a mid-range device and the map load times are inconsistent at best. Some shifts it's snappy, others it feels like the map is thinking really hard about whether it wants to show up. The order detail screen though — the payment breakdown, the address, recipient name — that part is genuinely well laid out. It does what a driver needs it to do. If they iron out the connectivity detection and maybe speed up the map tile loading, this could be a really solid tool. Right now it's somewhere between 'reliable enough' and 'I hope today isn't a bad day for it.'

Restart is a workaround, not a fix. Dev should patch the connectivity check. Background thread probably not releasing properly after lock screen event.

The color-only status dots thing tara mentioned is a real usability gap — not just for accessibility reasons but practically speaking, when you're checking orders quickly between stops, a tiny red or green dot is easy to misread in bright sunlight. Even a small text label like 'Pickup' or 'Done' next to the dot would be a meaningful improvement. It's the kind of fix that probably takes a developer an afternoon but makes daily use noticeably smoother.

honestly yes, dana, that sunlight thing is so real — i was squinting at my phone the other day trying to figure out which orders were completed and which weren't and it was genuinely stressful. like a tiny text label would fix everything. also the SOS button on the map screen is a nice safety touch, i just hope it actually works fast when someone needs it because it's not something you want to test on a normal day tbh.
