honestly this app kind of snuck up on me... i downloaded it mostly because the icon looked cute and i wasn't expecting much, but here i am a few weeks later actually logging my steps every day which is wild because i never stick to anything lol
the whole candy theme is really charming — like it doesn't feel forced or try-hard, it just makes the whole experience feel a little lighter? setting up my profile was super smooth, picked my character (went with Marshmallow Cat obviously) and it just... felt fun immediately. tbh that onboarding is doing a lot of heavy lifting for the app's first impression.
the progress tracking screen is where i spend most of my time and it's really well laid out — you can see your steps, the little progress bar filling up, and if you've challenged a friend you can see them racing alongside you. that competitive element is genuinely motivating in a low-key way, like i don't feel crushed if i'm behind, it's more like... okay let me catch up energy
if i'm being honest the one thing that trips me up a little is that the app can feel slightly shallow once you've done a few races. like after the victory screen pops up with the trophy and the 'you crushed it' message, i'm kind of sitting there wondering what comes next beyond just starting a new race... i'd love to see more variety in goals or maybe different challenge formats down the line
but overall the ux is genuinely thoughtful, the visuals are delightful without being overwhelming, and it actually got me moving more so... hard to complain too much
