Showstopper: Practice positions itself as a backstage companion for street artists and aspiring circus performers — buskers, jugglers, acrobats, fire spinners, and magicians. The Stage screen serves as the main dashboard, letting performers schedule an upcoming show with a venue and curtain time, run through a four-item pre-show checklist (Warm-up, Costume, Props, Safety), log daily rehearsal minutes with a start/stop timer, and tap an "Analyze My Look" button described as an AI-powered costume and appearance analysis feature. A motivational quote sits quietly at the bottom of the screen: "Every great act is a secret kept until the very last second."

The Wheel, the Troupe, and the Applause

When inspiration runs dry, the Wheel tab offers a six-segment spin wheel covering Fire, Magic, Beasts, Music, Mystery, and Acrobatics — each segment distinguished by both color and a unique icon, so the feature holds up even for users with color vision differences. The Troupe tab functions as a roster manager: performers can be added, assigned to a category, rated on a five-star scale, filtered, and sorted. The Applause tab tracks progress toward a "Third Bow" milestone via a progress bar, with a badge collection system implied by the UI.

Design and Atmosphere

The visual identity is cohesive and committed. Dark near-black backgrounds are layered with gold and amber section labels, large bold white headings, and wide orange-red pill-shaped buttons that span most of the screen width — a practical choice that also benefits motor accessibility. The app's mascot, a stylized mime or phantom face with hollow dark eye sockets and three crown-like protrusions, appears in onboarding illustrations. Promotional artwork features a jester in a red-and-blue harlequin costume extending a gloved hand toward the viewer, surrounded by floating gold coins and five-pointed stars against a fiery orange backdrop.

The carnival aesthetic is genuinely earned rather than decorative — every screen element, from the theater-mask tab icon to the gold fleur-de-lis on the promotional phone frame, reinforces the same ringmaster world. Whether that tonal consistency keeps a working busker engaged over months of daily use is the real test.

A Note on Rough Edges

The Troupe screen in screenshots shows only a single entry, leaving most of the dark canvas empty. More telling: the sort button and Add button sit in close proximity in the top-right corner, which risks accidental taps, and the four pre-show checklist items arranged in a tight horizontal row may fall short of the recommended 44×44-point minimum touch target on smaller devices. The spin wheel also appears to rely on a swipe gesture without a clearly labeled tap-to-randomize alternative visible in the UI.

Gold Coins, Spinning Reels, and the Stage

One piece of the app's promotional artwork depicts an ornate smartphone — red and gold casing, gold fleur-de-lis at the top of the frame — displaying a classic fruit slot machine grid surrounded by floating cherries, grapes, plums, a golden bell, a glowing red die, and a white-gloved hand mid-toss. Gold coin stacks and five-pointed stars fill the fiery orange background.
