okay i've had astral monolith on my phone for about two weeks now and i keep finding myself coming back to it in the evenings, which honestly surprised me a bit... i downloaded it expecting something shallow and kind of gimmicky, but it's actually quite thoughtful in the way it's put together.
the observatory dashboard is genuinely nice to sit with. watching the resonance streams pulse, checking in on PRISM-001's stats — it sounds weird to say but it's weirdly calming? like you're the lone operator of something ancient and vast and you're just... keeping an eye on things. the astral feed gives you little lore snippets too, stuff about the Umbral Crown and the Veil Nebula, and tbh i've started actually reading them instead of skipping past.
the archive section is where i spend most of my time though. browsing through the dimensional fragments, seeing the glyph lattice integrity percentages tick up as you restore records... it scratches a very specific itch. Fragment 1 from the Aurora Fold Chronicle had me genuinely curious about the lore. the epoch cycle numbers give everything this sense of deep history that i really appreciate.
the explore tab is beautiful too — the parallax card layouts for places like Silent Apex and Fracture Belt feel cinematic in a way i didn't expect from a mobile app.
if i had one complaint it's that the scanner section feels a little thin right now... like the waveform is gorgeous but after you initiate a scan a few times the loop starts to feel familiar. hoping there's more depth added there eventually.
overall though, honestly a really atmospheric little experience. great for unwinding.
