Inventual is a mobile inventory and point-of-sale solution built for businesses that need to manage products, sales, purchases, and expenses from a single place. It supports multiple stores and warehouses, making it a practical fit for operations that span more than one location. The app is designed with an admin-first structure, giving the person in charge a broad view of daily activity across the entire business. Version 1.0.0 is available now, with the last update landing in December 2024.

Screen by Screen

Inside the App

Inventual positions itself as an all-in-one back-office tool for small to mid-sized retail operations. The main dashboard surfaces today's sales, purchases, and expenses in clearly labeled cards — light blue for sales, light purple for purchases, light green for expenses — so the most important numbers are visible the moment you log in. From there, a 4×3 icon grid fans out into every functional area: Products, Trading, Expenses, POS, Sale, Purchase, Warehouse, Report, Peoples, and more. Each icon carries its own color and a text label, which keeps navigation legible without needing to memorize symbols.

What the App Covers

  • Product management — add new items, edit existing ones, and organize stock by category and brand
  • POS sales interface — a touch-friendly 2×3 product grid with Category, Brand, and Featured filter tabs for fast item selection
  • Checkout and billing — itemized POS Bills screen showing price, quantity controls, subtotals, tax, discount, shipping, and grand total before payment
  • Sales and purchase returns — post-transaction adjustments and refund processing included
  • Expense tracking, customer profiles, and supplier database — all managed within the same app
  • Profit/loss reporting and multi-warehouse support for businesses operating across locations

Design and Usability

The visual identity runs on a purple-to-pink gradient across entry screens, shifting to a clean white and light gray layout once inside the app. Blue handles every primary action — Login, Payment, Create — while pink and red signal secondary or destructive choices like Reset. The login screen includes a password visibility toggle and a "Remember me" checkbox, both welcome touches for daily use. Navigation follows a consistent pattern: a left-arrow back button appears on every interior screen, and three-dot menus provide item-level options throughout lists.

The quantity controls on the POS Bills screen are noted as having small touch targets, and the Reset and Payment buttons sit in close proximity — two friction points worth knowing about before deploying this at a busy counter.

A Note on Visual Style

There's something familiar about the way Inventual's opening screens are built — a deep purple bleeding down into bright pink, white text floating against the gradient, a centered logo circle that draws the eye immediately. It shares that same bold, high-contrast color language you find in richly styled interfaces where atmosphere is part of the function. The palette isn't decorative for its own sake; it creates a clear before-and-after between the login flow and the working screens, signaling a shift from entry point to operational tool.

Accessibility Considerations

  • Color-coded filter tabs (blue, green, orange) are accompanied by text labels, reducing reliance on color alone
  • Large touch targets on primary buttons; quantity increment controls remain small
  • Logical top-to-bottom, left-to-right focus order across all screens
  • Image alt text, form field label associations, and icon descriptions are flagged as areas needing improvement
