The rewards screen tracks eight achievements across four named tiers: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Aurora. Early milestones like First Frost (catch your first 10 snowflakes) and Cold Heart (score 50 in a single run) ease new players in, while upper-tier targets demand serious commitment — Aurora Call requires a single-run score of 560, and Frozen Compass asks for 500 crystals collected in total. Crystals are tracked as their own currency alongside your best score, creating two parallel goals to pursue across sessions.

Visual World and Atmosphere

The home screen places you in front of a snow-covered cabin on a frozen lake under a starry sky, with aurora-like light effects drifting across the background. The splash screen takes a more dramatic turn — three ornate fish in red-orange, golden yellow, and blue-silver are arranged in a circular formation against a deep cosmic backdrop, surrounded by floating golden orbs and a central starburst. The underwater gameplay world carries the same vibrant palette: blues, whites, golden yellows, and bright reds throughout.

Settings and Profile

Settings are clean and functional: toggles for sound effects, ambient music (described as a soft frozen-lake loop), and vibration feedback. A dedicated progress section displays games played, best score, and crystals collected — with a clearly marked red Reset Progress button for those who want a clean slate. The profile screen lets you set a custom explorer name and view your unlocked badge collection at a glance.

A Note on Accessibility

Ice Lake Rewards leans heavily on color to communicate meaning — achievement tiers are distinguished by color alone (bronze, silver, gold, aurora) without supporting icons or patterns, which may create difficulty for users with color vision deficiencies. Some UI text over animated backgrounds also presents readability concerns, and toggle switches may be undersized for users with motor impairments. These are areas where the current v1.0 release has room to grow.

The achievement ladder is genuinely well-paced at the lower end, but the jump to Gold and Aurora tiers is steep enough that casual players may find the upper half of the rewards screen permanently locked.
