At its core, FarmAcres revolves around a straightforward loop: buy chickens, assign them to coops, collect eggs, and sell them for profit. The main farm screen keeps everything visible at a glance — your current balance, how many chickens you own, eggs sitting in the coop, and storage capacity, all displayed in compact dark-background cards beneath a prominent money readout. From there, three action buttons handle the essentials: buying new chickens, collecting eggs, and selling your stored inventory.

Managing Your Operation

The Farm Manager screen adds a layer of strategy by letting you distribute chickens across multiple coops — Coop A and Coop B each hold up to ten birds — while a Pricing tab sits alongside the Coops tab for adjusting your selling strategy. An in-app tip reminds players that higher-level coops produce eggs faster and that upgrades are handled through a dedicated Upgrades screen. The Stats screen breaks your progress into an Overview grid (farm level, eggs per second, current balance, storage fill, active strategy) and a Totals section tracking eggs collected, eggs sold, coops owned, and upgrades applied. Milestones like "First Chicken," "10 Chickens," "50 Chickens," "100 Eggs Sold," and "1000 Eggs Sold" give the progression a clear spine.

Profile, Achievements, and Settings

The Profile screen doubles as an achievement hub, showing a 2×3 stat grid alongside a twelve-achievement tracker. Early ones like First Feathers (own your first chicken) unlock quickly; later ones such as Chicken Army (own 25 chickens) stay locked until the farm grows. Settings cover a dark theme toggle, sound effects on/off, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and a clearly marked Reset Game Progress option on a red warning background. The bottom navigation bar — Farm, Manager, Profile, Settings — stays consistent across all screens.

A Note on Color and Accessibility

The visual design is busy with color coding: green checkmarks for completed milestones, yellow highlights for active states, grayed-out buttons for disabled actions. Players who rely on color to distinguish status may find some elements ambiguous, as the app currently leans heavily on hue alone without additional shape or text indicators for status. Yellow text appearing over light backgrounds in a few spots also presents a contrast concern. These are real gaps in an otherwise clean, well-organized interface.

FarmAcres keeps its mechanics transparent and its screens uncluttered — the kind of idle game where the decision space stays small enough that a few minutes of attention actually moves things forward.
