okay so i've actually had the opposite experience with the scan feature honestly... it read my ticket on the first try and even pulled out the train number and departure details automatically. maybe it depends on the lighting? i've noticed it struggles a bit in low light, like on a dimly lit platform late at night... but in decent light it's been pretty solid for me. the journey details screen is genuinely lovely to use though, i'll give you that one.

Route map is the strongest part. Clean, fast, accurate path rendering. AI coach needs a lot of work though — asked it about luggage restrictions on a specific route, got a generic packing tips reply. Useful app for casual trip logging, weak on the smart features.
Scan accuracy varies by ticket format. Printed tickets: fine. Phone screen tickets: hit or miss. Pixel 7a, iOS not applicable — Android build. Map rendering is smooth. AI coach response time acceptable.
Tested on iPhone 15, iOS 17.4. Scan works on paper tickets consistently. Phone-screen tickets fail about half the time, backlight causes issues. AI coach is functional but replies feel generic. No crash on launch here.
yeah the phone-screen ticket thing is a known pain point i think... tbh i just screenshot my ticket and then hold the screenshot up which sounds ridiculous but it actually works better somehow. the map feature with the live route is what keeps me coming back though, watching the little route trace through the stations is oddly satisfying...
Taking a screenshot of your screen to scan it is ABSURD... that's a workaround, not a solution. App should just handle it.
Agreed. Basic UX failure. Should detect screen glare and prompt user. Not a hard fix.
