okay so wheel of towers kind of snuck up on me — i downloaded it on a whim and now i've lost a solid chunk of my evening to it, honestly. the core loop is simple: climb floors, spin the wheel, deal with whatever the game throws at you. enemy on this floor? the wheel decides how tough it hits. healing fountain? spin to see how much you recover. trap? yeah, spin for that too. it sounds repetitive when you say it out loud but in practice it keeps you weirdly tense in the best way.

the fantasy art style is warm and a little mysterious — purple skies, stone towers, flickering torches — and it fits the mood perfectly. the wheel itself is chunky and satisfying to tap. i love that each run genuinely feels different because the floor events are generated on the fly, so you can't just memorize a path.

my one real gripe is that there's not a lot of meta-progression to hold onto between runs. you beat your record, sure, but then what? a few more unlockables or some kind of upgrade system between runs would go a long way — truly. right now it feels like a really polished proof of concept more than a complete game.

still, for a free roguelike you can pick up for five minutes or sink an hour into, it does its job well. the wheel mechanic is genuinely clever and i keep coming back to it.

No progression system. NONE. You just... climb, die, start over. Same thing every time. WHERE is the reason to keep going...

Tested on Galaxy A54, Android 13. No crashes. Wheel spin animation drops frames occasionally — not game-breaking. Agree on the meta-progression gap. Runs feel disposable without persistent rewards.

i actually kind of love how lightweight it is though? like sometimes you just don't want to manage skill trees and resource meters... the wheel keeps it snappy tbh. i do see what you're all saying about replay value though, there's a ceiling you hit pretty fast and then it's just... the same tension loop again. honestly i wish there were even just a couple of different hero types to pick from, that alone would shake things up a lot.

Floor generation is fine. The wheel outcome range feels off though. On some runs the numbers skew so high the enemy wipes you in one spin. No way to tell if it's intentional difficulty or just bad RNG.

EXACTLY. One run I had an enemy with 18 lives, spun a 2. DEAD. No counterplay. Just... done...

okay but that brutal randomness is kind of the whole point though — it's a roguelike, the wheel is supposed to be unpredictable. i think what's missing isn't less randomness but more ways to mitigate it over time, which circles back to the progression thing. if you could unlock a passive that rerolls your worst spin once per run or something, that'd feel fair without removing the tension. honestly the bones are there, it just needs more layers on top.

Reroll mechanic would work. Or a floor-skip token. Something to spend between events. Right now the only decision is: press FIGHT or press PLAY. That's it. Needs one more player-side variable.
